Almedalen week 2017!

This year Anthesis Enveco was represented by Agneta Persson at the Swedish annual policy week – Almedalen week – on the island Gotland. It is a major event with policy makers, all kinds of industry, municipalities, consultants, academia, and other actors the first week of July every year. This year it was bigger than ever, with more than 4 000 seminars and events.

After a week full of opportunities to meet, discuss and get new insights Agneta is now back in the office. Topics in focus of the Almedalen week of 2017:

  • The UN SDG 2030 are hot – a lot of discussions about the goals and how to embrace and include them
  • Social sustainability is “the new black” – the words on everybody’s lips right now!

Agneta says: “Another positive reflection on this year’s Almedalen week is that many actors are now starting to really cooperate and collaborate”.

In addition to taking part in numerous interesting meetings with clients and partners Agneta also moderated a roundtable discussion on how to achieve carbon neutral concrete buildings by 2045  – a great example of an area where real collaboration now is beginning to develop.

One important part of Anthesis Enveco’s sustainability analysis offer is our expertise in social aspects. We know what social sustainability may be and we know how to measure it. Want to learn more? Please get in touch with Frida Franzén for more information.
